This was "Mistar Honda" or Jack my 1st Standard Schnauzer and my 1st attempt at showing dogs, we had great fun. Jack was also the most challenging puppy I have ever had. Jack was a typical Standard Schnauzer he was stubborn, comical, very smart, and he was always game for anything I wanted to do. I fell in love with Standard Schnauzers due to Jack, and It would not be right without this little tribute to him. Jack died at 18 months of DCM, dilated cardio myopathy in laymens terms an enlarged heart. DCM is thought to be genetic but there are no test for it, until it is too late, many breeds have been afflicted by DCM. Jack was diagnosed through ultrasound,a week after he collapsed playing in the back yard. Minutes after his diagnosis as he lay in my arms, I had no choice put to put him out of his misery.
Jack loved life and will forever be in my heart. |
